Minnesota Twins Curator Clyde Doepner is a huge fan of Rotary and of our PolioPlus initiative. Anyone who has made a $50 contribution to PolioPlus this year is welcome to join Clyde and I for a behind-the-scenes tour of the Minnesota Twins Stadium this Saturday, June 22 from 10 AM to noon.
Feel free to bring your spouse and kids. I have attended Clyde’s presentation before and, even though the Twins will not be in town, it is likely to be a once in a lifetime experience.
RSVP me at Timmulcrone@aol.com .
Parking is free! We walk right up the ramp from the parking lot to the stadium.
Clyde says to pull into the back Twins Way off Seventh Street. When the big Target parking ramp on the left ends there is a one-way street to the left that is called Twins way. Come to the light and stay in the right lane. Go through the light, and in the second block on Twins way you’re going to take a right into the parking lot. The sign will say Champions Club and Deliveries. You’ll see a guard shack as well. If the gate is down, push the button and tell them that you are here for Clyde’s tour. Once in the lot, you will see loading docks to the stadium. Go up the ramp to the right and Clyde will meet us there.
I’m sure Clyde will have some recommendations for nearby dining if any of us choose to go out after that.
If you would like to make a last-minute donation to PolioPlus for the 2023–2024 year, go to EndPolio.org.
Thanks much and I hope to see you on Saturday.
Yours in Rotary Service,
Tim Mulcrone,
